From New York City and West
Take I-95N to Exit 48 in New Haven. Take I-91N to Exit 10 (Route 40). Follow Route 40 approximately three miles to its end (at Whitney Avenue). Turn right onto Whitney Avenue (Route 10) and proceed north for 0.3 miles. The museum will be on your right.
OR
Take the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) to Exit 61. Turn right onto Whitney Avenue (Route 10) and proceed north approximately 1.9 miles. The museum will be on your right.
From Hartford, Boston and Upper New England
Take I-91S to Exit 10 (Route 40). Follow Route 40 approximately three miles to its end (at Whitney Avenue). Turn right onto Whitney Avenue (Route 10) and proceed north for 0.3 miles. The museum will be on your right.
OR
Take Route 15 (Berlin Turnpike or Wilbur Cross Parkway) to Exit 63. Turn left onto Hartford Turnpike. Turn right onto CT-22, and continue to follow signs for CT-22W. Turn right onto CT-10/N (Whitney Avenue). The museum will be 500 feet ahead on your right.
From Western Connecticut and Upper New York State
Take I-84 to Exit 26. At end of exit, bear right on Route 70 toward Cheshire. Continue on Route 70 to Route 10. Turn right on Route 10 (Whitney Avenue) and go about 8 miles. The museum will be on your left.
